Sweet Cheat Margarita
Yield: 2 Serving
Cook & Prep Time: 5 minutes
This can easily be turned into a daiquiri if you replace the tequila with rum, like I had to do last Cinco de Mayo when I realized I was out of tequila! Not happening this year friends...
- 2 Tablespoons freshly squeezed lime juice
- 1 Tablespoon Sweet Cheat Spoonable Monkfruit
- 3 oz tequila
- 2 handfuls of ice
- Lime zest and lime wedges to garnish
- Coarsely grated sea salt mixed with a bit of lime zest to rim the glass
Place lime juice, Spoonable Monk Fruit, tequila, and ice in a blender and pulse until well blended; add a splash of water if it's too thick.
Run one of the lime wedges around the rim of the glasses to moisten.
Spread about a teaspoon of salt on a plate and stir in a half teaspoon of lime or lemon zest for extra flavour. Dip the edges of the glasses to rim them with the salt.
Divide the margarita between two glasses. Top with some lime zest and extra lime wedges.
Per Drink: *note that sodium content will depend on how much salt you use to rim your glass, but there is no sodium in the margarita itself
